CORTINA IS A YEAR-ROUND DESTINATION

Not attending the Olympics? No problem. The ski season lasts until April. For the warmer months there are miles of smooth trails for walking and biking to nearby woods and villages. Use the cable cars to reach the peaks for summer hikes with breathtaking views. Don’t miss Lago di Misurina, a stunning crystal lake surrounded by delightful Tyrolean hotels.

Just a short cable car ride from town, year round spectacular mountain and valley views are yours from the terraces of this wine bar and lovely restaurant.

IL POSTICINO at HOTEL DE LA POSTE

A cozy restaurant with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Il Posticino is small and very popular, thus a reservation is likely necessary. Soup and dessert, shown above.

For a luxurious culinary experience, the tasting menu of SanBrite will check every box. The inn is located about 15 minutes north of town in the forest. The menu changes according to the season. Shown above, top left.

SKIWEAR
The Corso Italia winds thru the village and is the main shopping street. Virtually every cool ski brand you could want has a store here, but, there are also many local shops offering gear and Italian labels. For luxury designers hit the multi-level haus of FRANZ KRALER.
