What to Do in Vienna
Opera in the Square
Free outdoor concerts by the famous Wiener Staatsoper. From April through June, and again in September, the opera company sets up a huge LED screen and 180 chairs in its plaza.
A huge variety of contemporary arts will be performed throughout the museums and courtyards of this cultural campus, located right in the heart of Wien. There is a film festival called frame[o]ut, literary readings called O-TONE, and Weekend Sounds with acoustical pop-ups.
MQ's courtyards become a lively urban scene to enjoy the night as well. And of course, see the Leopold Museum's collection of fantastic Egon Schiele & Gustav Klimt paintings. From June through September.
From July 4th to September 6th, there is a free film festival with food purveyors in the plaza of the historic Rathaus. The movies are musicals and the food is classic Austrian, all of which makes this a fun and special way to enjoy summer nights in Vienna.

Where to Shop in Vienna
