From Old Masters to Harlem's rich black heritage, to the latest in contemporary art, here are three newly renovated museums, and an auction house, ready for you to rediscover their collections and offerings.

THE FRICK COLLECTION - Upper East Side
Restored, refreshed, expanded... The reopened Frick, now with timed-tickets, enables you to enjoy one of the world's finest art collections that's set amidst the Gilded Age splendor of Henry Clay Frick's 1914, Carrere & Hastings-designed mansion. Checkout the adjacent side streets between Fifth and Madison for examples of Gilded Age mansions and townhouses. Shown above.

THE NEW MUSEUM - Lower East Side
From its humble loft beginnings in 1977 to a new 120,000SF home on the iconic Bowery thoroughfare, this autumn The New Museum will continue its mission to showcase the very latest in contemporary art created by the widest variety of voices. The museum is conveniently located between the charming boutiques of Nolita and the historic Lower East Side. Shown below.

THE STUDIO MUSEUM IN HARLEM - Harlem
The artistic and cultural contributions of African-Americans will soon have a new home to exhibit their multitude of rich offerings. On November 15th, the Studio Museum will reopen with 82,000SF to showcase its permanent collection and engaging exhibitions. When in Harlem, take the opportunity to also see the nearby historic residential brownstones of Strivers' Row and Hamilton Terrace, as well as Alexander Hamilton's Grange residence. Shown above.

SOTHEBY'S - Upper East Side
And finally, on November 8th, the storied British auction house will open the doors to its new home in the iconic Marcel Breuer Brutalist design building - formerly the Whitney Museum of American Art. Sotheby's pre-auction exhibitions are a great way to see world class art.
