Casual to Fine Dining: 6 Restaurants in LA
Dining well on vacation, it's one of life's great pleasures... and one of the more stressful things to plan.
We're just back from LA where we ate like kings. From sandwiches to fine dining, enjoy this handy list and experience a wide variety of cuisines, neighborhoods, design and service.
SPAGO BEVERLY HILLS: Fine dining with a side of Hollywood glam. Wolfgang Puck's original see-and-be-seen Italian hot spot is still chic, elegant and an overall lovely dining experience.
METEORA MELROSE: Creative, immersive Latin cuisine is served up by a professional staff in a very cool space of hanging greenery and intricately woven wood work.
PACE LAUREL CANYON: We love this classic canyon hideaway for its chill vibe, rustic Italian cuisine, and a cozy dining room that has probably seated every star since the 90s.
FANNY'S WILSHIRE MUSEUM DISTRICT: Located in the Museum of the Academy of Motion Pictures, the refreshing American cuisine of Fanny's is served-up in an expansive airy space. Perfect before you view the exhibits, or hit the nearby LACMA and Petersen museums.
OTIUM DTLA: Located next to The Broad and across from MoCA, is the inviting modern cuisine of Otium, which also has a small cafe that is ideal for when you need a quick bite or a caffeine recharge. Casual, inexpensive and delicious.
AUGIE'S ON MAIN SANTA MONICA: After a morning of exploring, we stopped to enjoy gourmet chicken sandwiches, salads and fries on the relaxed patio of Augie's - created by Michelin-starred chef and Santa Monica native, Josiah Citrin... was the perfect lunch, then on to Malibu.
