Throughout the summer, in bucolic Vondelpark is this open-air stage with a program called Vondelpark Happenings. Don't worry if you don't speak Dutch, the program includes a healthy does of new music and classical.

MOVIES under the STARS
On the Stenen Hoofd pier north of Centraal Station take in a classic film with a cocktail while settling back into the comfort of a beach chair. The film series focuses on comedies and horror, so the film genres transcend language.

You need to chillout! This very cool music festival that takes place across Amsterdam features some of the most talented young artists from around the world.

MUSIC & ART
This BIG Amsterdam cultural event traditionally kicks-off their autumn season. About half-a-million people will come to hear live music performed throughout the city by over 2,000 artists. From the parks to the museumplein venues, you'll find the music that suits your style. 2023's event includes an interactive garden maze.

AMSTERDAM GAY PRIDE FESTIVAL
MUSIC & DANCE
This is one of the biggest, over-the-top gay pride parties in the world, with a famously entertaining canal flotilla parade. Amsterdam Gay Pride is a party for everyone!

MILKSHAKE FESTIVAL
MUSIC & DANCE
Get your dance on at this end of July music festival whose theme is Love, Respect, Freedom and Tolerance. The four day show and dance parties take place in the open-air spaces of Westerpark.
